The role of organizations in the adoption of GenAI

Examine the degree of freedom individuals have in the corporate setting and the influence of organizational choices on experimentation.

What strategies are being adopted, and which initiatives are proving to be the most effective?

Initiatives supporting GenAI adoption

Training courses, special projects, and time for personal experimentation are the top three initiatives commonly used to promote GenAI adoption

Initiatives supporting GenAI adoption

Not all organizations are, however, following the same adoption strategy. Based on the nature and size of the investments, two dominant approaches are emerging

Initiatives supporting GenAI adoption

On one side, there are supportive companies that promote the use of GenAI with greater investments, primarily relying on special projects, often in combination with other initiatives

Initiatives supporting GenAI adoption

On the other hand, there are neutral companies that rely on personal initiative and place priority on training courses and time for individual experimentation, generally with smaller investments

So what

The guidelines organizations establish for individuals do not hinder the spread of AI in the corporate context. In fact, most European companies do not restrict individual freedom in using GenAI; rather, they can positively influence its adoption through various dedicated initiatives.

Depending on the strategies and investments implemented, two distinct approaches emerge: a supportive approach led by organizations that prioritize investment in special projects, and a more neutral approach, characterized by companies that rely on personal initiative and individual interpretation without overly encouraging the development of this technology within the corporate context.
