MAIZE magazine is shortlisted for the D&AD Awards 2024
The D&AD Awards are the gold standard for celebrating creative excellence in design and advertising. Globally recognized as the ultimate creative accolade, the prize attracts and honors the best talents from all around the world.
The international award is promoted by the eponymous non-profit association D&AD, which each year gathers the world’s best creative work from across the commercial design, advertising, production, and craft disciplines to be judged by more than 300 global creative leaders, practitioners, and innovators.
It is such an important recognition for us to see our MAIZE magazine’s issue no. 14 — a comprehensive, multifaceted, cross-disciplinary exploration of the topic of DESIRE — shortlisted in the D&AD Awards 2024 Independent Magazines category for Magazine & Newspaper Design.
The DESIRE issue
For this issue, we started by asking ourselves: what are human beings like when they desire?
They are pleasure-seeking animals. Consumers of new products. Subjects who lose themselves in the Other. Seekers of distant stars. In this edition, we have abandoned ourselves to desire. We have broken down its meaning, following different paths that speak to us of freedom, rebellion, and awareness.
